Considering the numbers
The title of the Pew Research Center’s report makes a big statement, “Religion Is Gaining Influence in American Life, More U.S. Adults Now Say.” The study does show people’s view that the influence of religion is growing, but the report has more nuance, particularly about the conflict people see between their faith and culture. Some questions for reflection at your institution: How does your school see its influence? How could/should it exercise its influence?
