In 1993, Dr. David A. Hubbard, then president of Fuller Theological Seminary in California, gave a speech to what was then known as the Christian College Coalition (now the Coalition for Christian Colleges and Universities) about fundraising. In it, Hubbard laid out his “Ten Commandments for Development Officers.” The speech was reprinted in the form of a small booklet. His presentation and the booklet were funded by Lilly Endowment Inc.
