NACUBO’s recession resources on the Web

The Web site of the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) includes a helpful page called “Facing the Financial Downturn: Toolkit and Resources for Colleges and Universities.” You can access this material even if you're not a member of this great organization.

Be sure to check out their information on long-term debt and long-term investments, among other resources on the page.

But the must-read item on the site is the just-released report called “The Financial Downturn and Its Impact on Higher Education Institutions.” The report was prepared by NACUBO in partnership with the Association of Governing Boards of Colleges and Universities (AGB). It includes a section called “Critical Questions for College & University Presidents and Boards In a Volatile Economy.” Theological school boards and administrators would be wise to read it.
