In Trust wins awards at Associated Church Press meeting

In Trust won three awards at the annual meeting of the Associated Church Press, held April 22, 2016, in St. Louis, Missouri. The association, which is made up of church-related and independent religious periodicals, is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year and has held an annual meeting since 1920. In Trust publisher Jay Blossom serves on the board of directors.

 

In the category of “Electronic Newsletter,” In Trust won an Award of Merit (second place overall) for In Trust Now, our monthly e-newsletter that comes out on the last business day of each month.

In the category of “Department,” In Trust won an Honorable Mention (third place overall) for our department titled “From Data to Decision.” The winning articles in that section included “Interpreting the Entering Student Questionnaire” by Greg Henson (New Year 2015), “Do Seminaries Train Pastors for the Church?” by Greg Henson (Summer 2015), and “Rising Student Debt” by Jo Ann Deasy (Autumn 2015).

In the category of “Professional Resource,” In Trust won an honorable mention (third place overall) for “The Time Is Now: Theological Schools Can’t Afford to Delay Action on Deferred Maintenance” by Kalyani B. Glass (Autumn 2015).
