Why the board chair-president partnership matters
We launched this newsletter three years ago to offer board chairs insights tailored to their roles – resources, ideas, and conversation starters to share with board colleagues.
What we’ve found is that many board chairs have shared the emails with the president or dean of their school, which is a great sign of collaboration.
Starting with this issue, we’ve included both board chairs and executive leaders. Our goal is to foster deeper collaboration by creating a shared space for dialogue and insight. Typically, we add links to articles, podcasts, and resources about specific issues to the work of boards and issues facing the field. Today, here’s something to start the conversation: a guide for the relationship between a president and board chair. This relationship is not only valuable to the work of the school at the leadership level, it’s critical to your mission. As this relationship goes, so goes the institution.
