With remarkable and refreshing ease and grace, Melinda (Spirit Matters, Spring 2006) has addressed maybe the single-most critical area for the church in our day: pastoral health, support, freedom, and retention within the local church. Thank you.
While I agree that “it is hard to demand that this topic should make it into the curriculum” of theological schools, and that “it is…best learned from experience,” I would urge a more thorough foray into this area within the seminary community in order to help pastors and local churches move with greater intention toward health and vitality in ministry.
