The Summer 2016 issue of In Trust was sent to subscribers earlier this month. Highlights of the issue include:
- “Credit for what you know and do, not for time in class.” Competency-based education, a new educational model, is making inroads in theological education.
- “The view from Holy Hill.” The Graduate Theological Union has a complex consortium structure that allows it to foster interfaith relationships.
- “The ones who got away.” A small research project highlights people who considered seminary but chose other paths.
- “Hybrid courses, real community.” Central Baptist Theological Seminary has introduced a new M.Div. curriculum that anchors content and delivery in the student’s own context.
