Position description: Accounting and Administrative Associate

Classification

The accounting and administrative associate is a full-time, exempt position with benefits with hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday.

Job Description Summary

The accounting and administrative associate ensures the smooth and efficient operation of the In Trust Center by conducting various administrative, operational, and accounting responsibilities. This position supports all functional areas, collaborates with staff to engage in organizational projects and work to fulfill institutional mission, and supports and implements the organization’s strategic plan initiatives and objectives.

Essential Functions

Perform administrative, operational, and accounting tasks to support accounting, operations, administration, programs, and publications.

Accounting: Support the organization’s accounting function including accounts payable and receivable, financial coding and submission of expenses, invoices, and receipts; audit assistance, maintaining accuracy.

Administration and Operations: Support day-to-day running of the organization ensuring administrative and operational tasks are completed smoothly and efficiently including technology, equipment, supplies, inventory, calendar, meetings, vendor management.

Programs and Publications: Support functional areas by implementing administrative tasks.

Requirements

Associate or Administrative Degree or Certificate and/or three years’ proven experience in accounting and administration. Experience with church agencies, seminaries, or congregational administrations is highly valued.
