The In Trust Center has launched a new podcast focused on critical governance issues in theological higher education.
Funded by a generous grant from the M. J. Murdock Charitable Trust, which also helps fund the In Trust Center’s Wise Stewards Initiative, Good Governance focuses on helping schools maximize board potential and new perspectives on issues.
“The In Trust Center provides thought leadership through a variety of media, and the Good Governance podcast offers powerful conversations about current challenges and promising solutions,” said In Trust Center President Amy Kardash.
The podcast debuts with Dr. Rebekah Basinger, the Wise Stewards project director, and Dr. David Rowe, a governance consultant and Wise Stewards faculty coach, discussing the “new normal” for theological schools since the pandemic and how schools can cultivate community and use technology.
Other episodes discuss board assessment and orientation, the relationship between the board chair and the president, and board recruitment and diversity. Participants include additional coaches of the Wise Stewards initiative.
The podcast is available on Spotify, Google Podcasts, or Apple Podcasts, and on the In Trust Center’s website.
Change is tough and necessary
As profiled elsewhere in this issue (All People Considered, p. 9), CLI is all about equipping leaders to navigate change. The podcast breaks open the conversation about change with leaders, authors and thinkers who tell their change stories and share the lessons they have learned.
For Christians leading in the marketplace
Host Darren Shearer noticed a lack of teaching about “business theology” in seminaries and decided to fill the gap. This podcast is part of that work, with recent episodes like “Can God use a Beer Brewing Company?” and “Is There a Biblical Basis for Bitcoin?”
Connecting research with ministry
The podcast of the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada’s (EFC) research center features conversations among researchers exploring trends in the Canadian religious landscape. Clergy wellness, evangelism in Canada and the rise and fall of worship songs have all been explored in this new podcast.
Helping leaders get better
A podcast all about leadership and change, with a big dose of personal growth advice. Author, pastor and leadership expert Nieuwhof speaks to a wide range of thought leaders, including Seth Godin, Simon Sinek, and author Gordon MacDonald.
All about ministry innovation
This show takes us behind the scenes of Canadian Christians, churches, and ministries that are institgating new things, exploring innovative ways of planting new churches, reaching their neighborhoods, and being the Church in a post-modern Canadian context. Some great conversations here.
