The Census

Since 2018, the In Trust Center has offered Resource Grants, a competitive matching grant program that allows members to experiment with new programs and initiatives.

The program has grown over that time, with the Center now offering grants of up to $15,000 per school. This past year, the In Trust Center funded 25 projects exploring a range of initiatives.

“There has been great growth and interest in the program,” said Ann Marie Glanden, vice president for programs, who noted there were 50 applicants this year. “We’re excited to see the interest in the grants and the creativity with which schools are using funds to engage in new work at their schools.”

In the past, schools have used the grant for conferences, organizational consulting, and enrollment strategies. They also have experimented with new programs, technology, and ideas.

This year, emerging themes included the need for continuing education, opportunities for non-degree students, development of mental health programs, marketing and branding assessments, and strategic partnerships to reinforce the need for theological programs.

The grant cycle begins every February. You can find more about how we help at the In Trust Resource Center.
