Saint Meinrad Archabbey

Saint Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology enjoys a picturesque setting in southern Indiana. In fact, of all the photos we've published in In Trust magazine in the last few years, one of my favorites is an image of a worker in a tractor, planting trees at Saint Meinrad.

Saint Meinrad School of Theology

Saint Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology includes programs to prepare men for the priesthood, permanent diaconate and lay ministry. Through its Institute for Priests and Presbyterates, it also offers ongoing formation for men who are already ordained as priests. In addition, the School offers programs through its Office of Youth and Young Adult Formation that nurture a call to ministry and vocational discernment in high school and college students.

Saint Meinrad School of Theology is a ministry of Saint Meinrad Archabbey, which was founded in 1854 by monks from Einsiedeln, a Benedictine monastery in Switzerland.

In 2005, the monastery dedicated a new guest house with 31 rooms. Since Saint Meinrad is a little bit off the beaten path -- about 65 miles west of Louisville, Kentucky -- visitors appreciate the monastery's hospitality.
