Dr. Helen Blier, director of continuing education at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, recently led a webinar on what continuing education is, why institutions should offer it, and how schools can dive in.

During "Continuing Education: Advance Your Mission," Blier outlined many ways that continuing education programs round out an institution — giving faculty an outlet to share expertise beyond the required curriculum, providing a lab for innovation, fostering connections and ongoing support for graduates, and contributing to all-important "friend raising" efforts by the development staff. In the second half of the webinar, questions came from schools with robust contiuing education program and from other schools that are only in the beginning stages of developing a program.

Blier is an engaging speaker and a leading expert in the field. The recorded webinar is free to anyone associated with an In Trust Center member institution or affiliate. To view a recording of the webinar, click here.
