Lexington Seminar

The NCEA bills itself as the largest private professional education organization in the world. It represents 200,000 Roman Catholic educators in the United States, who serve 7.6 million students in Catholic elementary and secondary schools, in religious education programs, in seminaries, and in colleges and universities. Founded in 1904, the NCEA traces its origins to a gathering of eleven seminary rectors who gathered at St. Joseph's Seminary, Dunwoodie, New York, in 1898 to talk about how to attract more, better qualified students to priestly studies.
