Program Assistant

The In Trust Center for Theological Schools is a membership organization with a long history of service to seminaries, theological colleges, and other similar institutions that prepare students for Christian service and scholarship. The work of our employees affects religious communities throughout North America: We believe that for religious life to flourish, strong parishes and congregations are essential. These congregations need strong leaders who are shaped and formed within thriving seminaries. Classification:
The Program Assistant is a non-exempt position reporting directly to the Program Manager. This position is a full-time position, 40 hours per week with full benefits. 

Overview:
The primary role of the Program Assistant is to support the Resource Consulting and education programs, with additional support as requested by the Program Manager.

Essential Functions:

Support all aspects of the Resource Consulting program, including but not limited to the following:

  • Utilize the resource database to initiate and update case files and generate reports.
  • Identify new resources and add them to the resource database (resource discovery).
  • Support the Resource Consulting team meeting and event planning process, including implementation of Resource Consulting events (venues, logistics, and meeting materials).
  • Prepare and implement all Resource Consulting mailings (to new presidents, board chairs, etc.) as needed.
  • Support grant-funded initiatives as requested.

Support all aspects of the webinar program including but not limited to the following:

  • Support Program Manager with marketing and evaluating webinars, including developing and implementing email campaigns and post-webinar surveys and updating webinar registration pages and website.
  • Assist members with webinar registration and respond to inquiries via email and 
  • Enter webinar data in database (including event information, registrants, and presenters).
  • Support live webinar events as requested.
  • Assist Program Manager with developing resource guides, booklets, and marketing materials to support education programs and events.
  • Work with Editorial Assistant to create blog posts focusing on resources and resource guides.
Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Strong organizing abilities.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work well both as team member and independently.
  • Sensitivity to the diverse religious commitments of our constituents.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience writing for the mass media (website, blog, print articles, etc.).
  • Ability to learn a customized database and use it proficiently.
  • Familiarity with HTML, Adobe Creative Suite, email marketing software, and Survey Monkey is preferred.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Interest in advancing the mission of the In Trust Center for Theological Schools.
  • Experience in the nonprofit sector preferred.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in theological education preferred.
